"B" in Motion
“B” is a company used for the advancement of minority business. Minority women all over the world are the most underrated group. On top of dealing with society’s issue with women, they also must deal with society’s issues with minorities. “B” as a PR brand will give them the voice they have been looking for. Especially, in middle class/poor urban neighborhoods, such as East Flatbush, Brooklyn there are extremely minimal resources to help entrepreneurs get off the ground. Now that “B” has a website, it can be used to connect with these women and show them what it’s like to have their dreams. Not only will it display talent but it surely will catch the world’s attention. The internet itself has a huge audience and the “B” will just draw in those people that need help.
Over the course of the semester, WikiHow, twitter and premiere movie were tackled. In each achievement, something was learned that contributed to the successful outcome of the website. The Wikihow definitely helped focus on the importance of the organization of folders. For WikiHow there were a ton of pictures and drafts and not could files get mixed up but they sure can get lose (something that happens in the everyday life of a college student). Especially for the website, that is a skill that’s definitely needed. Creating and designing a website can be overwhelming when it comes to all the different folders so the key is to keep them all in the respected areas. Twitter taught each person about the language. Yea, the blog post helped with that as well but I don’t think the lesson really kicks in until it’s seen that other people really can see these things that are put on the internet. Keeping the online voice strong, objective and confident is extremely important. If the website is created for promotional reasons, the online voice can make or break it. Premiere for sure taught patience. There are so many things that can be done to make a project great but it takes time, patience and the willingness to learn. As said before, creating and designing a website can be overwhelming with how easily it can break but the point is to “SLOWWW DOWN” as Professor Pabico would say.
The connection between this website and social media is super easy. Come on, who doesn’t live on the smartphone in this day and age. If there is an interesting business found on social media, the legitness of that very business is the evaluation of their website. All accomplished businesses have a strong social media presence with a professional website to back it up.
Who would’ve thought that Dreamweaver is where dreams are created? The experience of working with this program was pretty easy. It was just rushed. There weren’t a ton of deeply packed tabs to use or disguised options to click. As long as everything stayed in the respected area, everything worked out fine. The key was to take things slow because the minute something is double checked, something could be missed and suddenly the who site is broken. When a line of code turns red, it meant something was broken. Who would think of that?! Everything was literally spelled out especially since the code was written out prior to the project.
